Voices from Sili Village — Broken Bridge and Damaged Road Cause Daily Hardships

Residents of Sili village in Dadra and Nagar Haveli have urged the district administration to take immediate action for the reconstruction of a damaged bridge and the repair of a deteriorating road that has made daily life difficult for locals.

Villagers from Silli in Dadra and Nagar Haveli have submitted a written request to the district administration demanding urgent construction of a new bridge and repair of the damaged road.

The broken bridge and muddy bypass route have become major obstacles for residents, school children, and patients, raising safety and accessibility concerns.

The residents of Sili village have raised their voices against the worsening infrastructure in their area. In a formal appeal to the district administration, villagers have demanded the construction of a new bridge and repair of the main road that connects their village to nearby areas.

According to the locals, the existing bridge has been damaged for a long time, creating serious inconvenience for everyone—especially school-going children, office workers, and patients who need regular transportation.

The bypass road near the canal has also turned into a muddy and waterlogged path, making it unsafe for two-wheelers and pedestrians. Villagers said that frequent accidents and vehicle breakdowns occur due to the poor condition of the road.

They have requested the administration to take immediate action and begin the construction and repair work without further delay. The residents believe that proper infrastructure will not only ensure safety but also improve connectivity and local development.

The appeal from Sili’s villagers highlights the pressing need for basic infrastructure improvements in rural areas. Swift action from authorities can prevent accidents and bring much-needed relief to the local community.
